Clip+ stuck on flower with or without 4G card; pc won't recognize

Hi.

Clip+ first stuck on “refreshing your media”. I held power button to reset it. Now the Sansa “flower” appears and stays illuminated. It will shut off if I hold down the power button for about 15 seconds. When I connect the Clip to my USB input, my PC laptop won’t recognize the player at all. The Clip+ has the same symptoms with or without the micro-SD card inserted.

My 4-gig micro-SD card seems fine when I put it into my laptop card reader. Files play fine and are all intact.

Help!

The same happened with me. Any solutions?

I am having the same issue.

Nothing so far seems to work.

read somewhere to hold the center button while plugging into the computer, but that is not doing anything

I just tried this and think it worked. It was under the Fuze section, but I held the button it is now refreshing the media.

Seems to be working now.

Try holding down the power button for at least 30 seconds. After that, try holding down the center button while connecting to your pc. This will force an MSC connection. Make sure that the laptop is plugged in before connecting the player. If you can get the player to connect, then format the player via your pc, which will delete all songs on it. disconnect it, then format it again using the player’s menu.

It seems like you tags are probably messed up. Before loading songs on the player again, put them through a good tag editor and fix then. Sandisk players need ID3V2.3 ISO 8859-1 tags.

Oh, come on! Could you read what others are saying next time?! We all have held the freaking power button for like an hour together. Yes, it turns off. Yes we held the stupid center button while connecting to PC. It does nothing! Still same stupid flower. I have read about this issue, it’s always the same. Someone with issue states what happened, says that he tried connecting while holding the center button and that it does NOT work. First advice: hold the power button for xx seconds and connect to PC while holding down the center button. NO NO NO! It does not work. Same issue here…
