I have a Fuze 8GB player with an 8GB microSD card. It still plays songs & videos that I have added in the past, but I cannot add any new content to either the player or SD card. I have tried syncing songs with WMP, as well as dragging & dropping songs. The files show up on the Fuze while its connected to the computer, but when I disconnect it the songs are nowhere to be found. Any suggestions?
Well a few big questions. I dont mean to sound condescending but you do have room for the new content right? What files types are you trying to add? What has changed since you were last able to add to the player? What USB mode?
Have you looked under " recently added " If under " recently added " - you simply have to add tags to your files so they can drop in the appropriate category.
I’m having a similar problem. When I check under the “recently added” folder, I see the files; however, when I try to play them, they won’t play. Let’s say there are 12 songs on a certain CD I put on. If I try playing track 1 from the “recently added” folder, it won’t play, just cycle to the next track, all the way to track 12. Oddly enough, I don’t have a problem when I add songs to the Fuze, it’s only the 16gb SD card that’s giving me trouble…

Ok what File Type are the new tracks you Ripped? If you used WMP you need to make sure that (In Certain formats) the copy protect media button is not checked. Try unplugging the card and then plugging it back in and restarting th fuze. Also this is vitally important. Make sure you have the most recent firmware on the player.
Thanks for the reply, Conversionbox.
I used dBpoweramp to rip CDs into VBR mp3s – 192 to 320kbps. I didn’t think it copy protected the mp3s, but I’ll check. Also, I do have the most recent firmware.

I dont remember if poweramp even had that option. Definitally check. If this is not the issue and resetting the card and rebuilding the directory dont work. You may want to try the chdsk utility, just search the board on how to do it.
Thanks again for the help, Conversion Box. Before I tried the chdksk utility, I ended up formatting the sd card. I then changed the USB to MSC. After that, I haven’t had a problem moving files onto the sd card. Still have no idea what caused the initial problem, but whatever, it’s fixed.
