Cannot erase a file marked read only that stays on my sans m240

I have a sansa m240 MP3 player. somehow it got am audio book file on it that is marked read only. I can;t erase it,

It is a real nuisance. Any suggestions? I tried resetting to factory default. No luck. Kim
