Hi all - Found my old Sandisk c250 and am trying to get it back up and running. The current firmware 01.01.05 does not allow me to manually switch to MSC mode. This is causing an issue where even though I have music tagged in the correct ID3 version - everything still shows up as “Unknown Artist” etc. Is there somewhere I can find an other version of the firmware? Thank you.
First check for downgrade to an Earlier Firmware Version, If downgrading the firmware proves challenging, consider installing the Rockbox firmware. It is an open-source alternative that offers enhanced features & greater control over USB modes. However installing Rockbox requires the device to be in MSC mode initially. If your current firmware does not allow switching to MSC mode, this might not be feasible.
