C240 can't delete previously stored songs , even by formating.

I can’t view and delete my previously stored songs which may contain non-English character. those files occuppy a large space and cann’t be removed by formating. All of these symptoms happened after synchronizing with WMP ver. 11. Appreciate for any help.
