Before I buy a Clip

for the wife, I have one quick question. Will it make my Sansa SanDisk “lose its mind” if I load the Clip and its software on the same PC/profile? I don’t automatically sync anything when I attach my SanDisk, just for charging and for manually transferring MP3’s. Thanks for taking time to read this, and for any feedback.

I am only guessing, but I believe the answer is:   they will both work under the same pc profile.    I have a Sansa Fuze and Sansa Clip, using the same Sansas Update software without any issues.

The firmware updater can be found here with some Common questions answered http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376

Devices supported:
Fuze
e200
e200R
c200
m200

Thanks, Niko!

Your Welcome !  She will love the clip

Note:  there is no Clip software to load.  If you mean the Sansa Updater, IMHO, it’s much easier just to “manually” download new firmware when it becomes available than to have the Updater clogging your computer with its always-on profile.

Even better news, Miikerman. Thanks.

Super!

Leaving it running while the account is logged on?

Sorry, I don’t understand the question.

The Updater is always on in the background, using memory.  The reason why many do not use it.
