I was in Walmart looking at all the apple docks and trying to fine one that will work with the Fuze when I happened to really pay attention to their docks, the apple Ipod pin connector looks like the fuzes plug. I didnt have my fuze with me to check it, so I am not sure but does anyone know if they do work together. Don’t get me wrong, I really doubt they will work together but I never assume so its worth trying at least.
The plug looks the same, but they’re wired differently. Putting a Sansa on an iPod dock connector could fry it.

Ouch!!! Thanks, didn’t think so but figured I would ask
i used an ipod nano before i bought my new fuze - so there was a dock still here to test this…
i tried it very cautious - not do damage anything - and NO - it will not match and even not work!
so don’t damage your device
greetings
In a word . . .
NO!
Maybe this should be added to the Fuze FAQ sticky, as ‘Can I plug my Fuze into an Apple dock?’ is a FAQ, and getting the correct answer is quite important!

FAQ = Frequenty Asked Questions… in my time on this forum I have not seen this questions before… that I can remember.
It’s important that your don’t put diesel into a car that does not run on deisel… I guess that’s why they have big warning signs on the pumps induicating that you are picking up a diesel nozzle… as a warning to those that would have been culled from the gene pool in the old days.
If others agree with you I am willing to add this as part of the FAQ thread.

I don’t have an opinion one way or the other, as to this being stickied, but I had an honest question. Its one I am sure many has had but would have felt silly asking. I know I did, and I stressed I doubted it would work but didnt know for sure. Better to be safe and assume its a question on everyones mind versus some other poor shlub who doesn’t want to look dumb.

Don’t be offended I was just poking a bit of fun, you were NOT silly for asking the question, a silly person is the one that asks why their Fuze broke after they plugged it into a dock designed for an iPlop.

Suppose it depends on your definition of frequent

As has been pointed out, some may feel silly asking. Some might not ask and try it simply because there’s no indication not to do it. “Well they didn’t say not to.” “Why didn’t they say it wouldn’t work?”
So, yes, I agree, in the absence of a “Frequently Not Asked Questions” thread, it should be added in the FAQ thread.
Done.
