16GB microSDHC card now shows 7.39GB after format

I used the SDFormatter V4.0 to format my 16GB SD card, it now shows 7.39 GB.  I decided to try the format with FULL(OverWrite) and that shows 15,523,840 bytes , but when it is completed, it still shows 7.39GB.  How can I recover the missing bytes.

Please cancel this as the card really was an 8GB SD card.  I got it mixed up with another one that I had.
