If you delete a Notepad file in Windows, the first place to check is the Recycle Bin—if it’s there, you can right-click and choose Restore to put it back in its original location. If it’s not in the Recycle Bin (for example, if you used Shift+Delete), you still have a few recovery options. If File History or OneDrive backup was enabled, you can restore an earlier copy by right-clicking the folder where the file was stored and selecting Restore previous versions. If you didn’t have backups turned on, your last option is to use a professional data recovery software like Stellar Data Recovery. This software can scan your drive for recently deleted files and recover them if the data hasn’t been overwritten yet.
