Is it possible to retrieve a whole folder full of files that was accidentally deleted whilst I was deleting one file? Somehow the entire folder deleted! No warning before doing this…
There is no visible deleted or recycle file but I imagine they must be somewhere on the USB. I have googled it and there seems software but I am vary wary of doing this as it may be detrimental to my laptop hard drive.
Does Sandisk have a step by step or recommended way of retrieving files? This must happen allot. Thank you

It’s possible to retrieve accidentally deleted files from a USB drive, even if they bypass the recycle bin. There are several reliable recovery options available. However, it’s important to be cautious and avoid software that might harm your laptop. Don’t download the first free software you find.
Go for any trusted options like Stellar or Easeus which can be useful for recovering any files and partitions too.
Files deleted from a USB drive usually don’t end up in the Windows Recycle Bin. However, this doesn’t mean they’re gone for good. As long as they haven’t been overwritten by new data, you can try using specialized recovery tools to get them back. Yes, Sandisk has provided some recommendations. To recover a deleted folder from your USB, stop using the drive to avoid overwriting the files. Use trusted recovery tools like Stellar Data Recovery, Recuva, Disk Drill, and so on. Download any of the above-mentioned software, run it on your laptop (not USB) to scan the drive for lost files.
