Is this a legitimate post or a pathetically weak attempt at spamming? If you genuinely have a problem and want to try that software go right ahead. But the link to it has already been posted in this thread 3 times! Please do not post it again.
I have reported all instances of this link as spam due to the fact that it is only available free for a limited time. Then one has to pay for it. By not mentioning this fact, anyone who posts a link to it and doesn’t disclose that fact is spamming, pure and simple.
Additionally, I have never heard of a legitimate need for whatever this long path tool does with any Sansa player. So it’s benefits are a mystery to me and I suspect it’s simply a ‘tool’ to facilitate or introduce malware or some other unwanted code onto host computers. In which case, linking to it would also be derelict, against Forum Rules & Guidelines and justification for banning the member who posted it.
If you really have ‘long paths’ in your music hierarchy, then simply eliminate some of the folders. Artist <folder>, Album <folder>, Track Name <files> is all you need. Period. No ‘tool’ necessary.
