I suppose if I added a 64GB card to my 8GB Clip Zip, I might hit that limit…lol Here’s a screenshot of my 64GB player…
But the 64GB cards are kinda silly in this regard…for the $220 price of that, you could buy 5.5 32GB cards at $40 apiece. Just saying:wink:
It will if you reformat the card to FAT32.
Certainly, the price is outrageous I’m just thinking future use and FLAC. I hope the price will drop eventually.

If you were using FLAC, then the 8000 file limit wouldn’t be an issue.
Personally though, I wouldn’t bother with FLAC on a portable player…I’d rather use my high-bitrate MP3’s and carry around more music. If hte encoding is done properly, then 99% or more of the population wouldn’t be able to hear the difference.
In time, you will be able to Rockbox the player and you won’t have a song limit then.
I’m sure it’ll take longer for the price of the 64gb microsdxc card to be within an affordable range than it will take for Rockbox to be stable for the Clip Zip.
