Hello all!
I am currently using Windows 7 to backup photos and videos from a road trip I am doing, but will be using my Mac whenever I get back home, or on the way home I might run into friends that use Mac.
Should I reformat my WD Passport Essential? What happens if I just leave the hard drive as I bought it? Would I be able to store info on whether a Mac or PC??
The easiest thing to do is download NTFS-3G http://mac-free.com/download/NTFS-3G.html on the Macs then they will able to use the drive as is. You could format the drive FAT32 and both will be able to use it but the max file size is 4 gig.
