I have a My Passport Ultra connected via USB 3.0 cable. I can write to the drive using other backup programs. But Windows 10 File History says the drive isn’t connected. But it is and the light is on and other programs as well as windows explorer see the drive.
So how do I connect it? Is it a windows 10 issue or an upgrade to my drive needed?

Getting the following error message from File History: “Unusual condition was encountered during finalization of a backup cycle for configuration C:\Users\Jay\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Configuration\Config”

Have you tried updating the drivers for the USB ports? If not, please try that.
I just did that. In all cases I got the message “The best driver software for your device is already installed”.
