My external HD stopped being recognized (re-connect your drive) by File History in May 2015 - I’m getting a ‘driver error’ message - I purchased a new My Passport Ultra 1TB a week ago, connected to USB3 port on my HP PC, still same error - where do I go for current driver, WD, HP or MS ? How can I check my old drive to see if it is still good ?

If two hard drive are behaving the same then it could be a system issue. What happens if you replace your USB 3.0 cables with a Micro USB 2.0 cable for force legacy compatibility mode?
