Win 7 desktop not recognizing WD Elements but Win 10 laptop does?

I have a WD Elements 1Tb. The problem is that my notebook that uses Windows 7 doesn’t recognize the External Driver. It’s like there’s nothing connected to the note. But if I plug a pen drive it recognizes.
When i connect the same WD in a notebook that uses Windows 10 it works perfectly.

Anybody has any idea about what’s going on?

Is your Elements drive a portable or desktop powered drive?
