Why I Can't Find Anything in My PenDrive?

Hi,

I was copying some files from my PenDrive to PC but it was too slow so I quit the process and thought instead of copying files to HDD, I should copy files to the SSD.

P.S I have both SSD and HDD in my PC.

When I opened PenDrive, I found nothing. It was empty.

Thanks for helping me.

Have you resolved the issue? If not, try the following steps:

  1. Reveal hidden files on your Windows PC:
  • Insert your SD card into the PC and open Windows File Explorer.

  • Click on the SD card in the left pane, then go to the View tab.

  • Click on Show and check the Hidden items box to display all hidden files.

  1. Check for errors on your USB drive:

Windows allows you to check for disk errors on storage devices with a built-in tool. Here’s how to use it:

This happened because the file transfer was interrupted while the file system was still updating.

When you stopped the slow copy process, Windows may not have properly finished writing the file allocation table on the pen drive. As a result, the data may still physically exist, but the directory structure is corrupted, making the drive appear empty.

Do not format the drive and run the chkdsk command. Then try Stellar Photo Recovery software to recover your lost files.
