Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD 1tb model SDSSDE61 not showing any copied files or folders

Hello,

I just purchased a SANDISK EXTREME PORTABLE SSD - Model SDSSDE61-1T00 as per below link - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08GTYFC37/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I copied files onto it and also used the Sandisk Security Setup software. When I plugged the SSD back into the laptop the next day it shows me that files are present (as per size used) but in windows explorer there is nothing…

I checked and changed the view to show hidden files etc but nothing. I even formatted the SSD and retried copying files on the SSD… Same thing… WHen it is connected it copies and I can see it, but if I plug it out and plug back in everything disappears.

Am using it on windows 11. Do let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

Hi

Thanks for your reply… Sorry i didn’t update here…
I think the issue was as I was trying to copy files using a script from my laptop folder to the SSD folder…

Now I tried copying the files directly and so far it seems to be working.

Will check more and revert also.

regards
Greg

If a Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD 1TB model SDSSDE61 is not showing any copied files or folders, it could be due to a file system issue, hidden files, or improper file transfer. Ensure the SSD is properly connected, check for hidden files using appropriate settings, and verify that the files were successfully transferred to the SSD.
My Sandisk Extreme with 2 TB storage has been slow and giving constant Error Code -36 messages. I lost some files but got them back with the help of EaseUS. Lesson learned: always have a backup on another brand device.
