I just bought my 8GB Fuze about 3 hours ago. When I got home I instaled all of my software and everything needed (using Windows XP). I pluged it into the computer to let it charge and a bright white screen showed up. It will turn off, but when I turn it on the same bright white screen comes back. I have tried reseting it, and nothing seems to be working. The computer recognizes. HELP!!
Take it back. You shouldn’t be having this problem.
If you want to play with it, look at the Firmware Update thread, install the Sansa Updater on your computer and let it do its thing, or do the manual firmware installation (explained in the thread). It may help, but if there’s a bad connection to the screen inside the Fuze, it’s not going to do any good.
And there’s no reason for you to go through any of that trouble. Take it to the store, show them the white screen, and let them replace it. If the store won’t replace it, call 1-866-SANDISK. You have a one-year warranty.
