WD Smartware on new PC and existing drive

I am planning on getting a new laptop. Currently I use Smartware 2 and have a 2TB Passport. 

If I setup my new laptop and install Smartware, when I plug my Passport in will it erase it or keep the data??

Hi, Smartware will never delete your backups, it will just create a new folder with the name of the new computer.
