The answer may be very simple, but I couldnt find it anywhere.

I have 2 WD EDD: My passport essential 1TB and My passport 2TB

The 1TB is now full. Will the smartware software know the files that I have already backed up to the 1TB drive and only back up new files to the 2TB drive? Or will it back up everything again (which I dont want)?

Any help appreciated

The WD Smartware software will create a new backup on the new drive, including files that have been already backed up on the 1 TB drive.
