WD passport ultra folder unable to open in windows 10 despite unlocking password

Hi,

I have purchased a WD my passport ultra last year which used to work on both Mac and PC (win7).

I have been using a mac all this year and stored a lot of data in this passport.

Until recently, i changed to a surface pro 4. But, after connecting my hard disk and unlocking the password, nothing appears. No hard disk folder appears. Although i can still see these files stored in the passport.
May I know the reason why and how to solve this problem.

It appears the file system type isn’t recognized by Windows. (It’s blank). How was the partition formatted? I assume if it was compatible with both Mac and PC without any specific software in use, it must have been formatted with ExFAT.

Is it possible the OS on the Surface Pro doesn’t support ExFAT?
