Hello,

ist there a WD product that has a portable encryption software builtin for Mac and Windows simultaneously? I want to encrypt my data and the external drive should be fully functional under Mac OS and Microsoft Windows without installing any software (portable software excluded).

Hi, the WD My Passport can be encrypted with a password, having the drive being useful on a Mac and on Windows depends on the format that you use, you can format the drive in ExFAT and it should allow you to use it on Windows and Mac, however keep in mind that if you forget the password, WD is unable to recover it.
