WD Passport copy speed

Hi All
I am backing up some photos to my WD passport ultra there 12.5G and 9435 files! So far it taken 1 day to copy them from my desk top (off SSD) it reading a speed of 95.6kb a second! It plug into a USB 3 slot on the PC! I am using Window 7 64 bit.

Any ideas why it so slow please?

Hello, have you checked if the drivers for the USB controller in your computer are up to date? Have you tried in another USB port? Even if its not USB.

Hi lluna
The PC not on the internet and it a PCI card and i had trouble installing it so had the shop do it! I try swapping it as the other use 3 seams to be working OK!

It still very slow on anther USB 3 that was working OK with anther drive! Not very happy with it at all!:frowning:
