I hope i can find some help with this my harddrive is used for backup of data not used al kept connected to the computers 

i have had it running today for 5mins just to look at some files disconnected it as normal nothing diffferent went to look at it agian tonight and found my computer not wanting to read the drive or find driver,  there is no clicking or buzzing or beeping coming from it just running as normal.

I have checked the cable nothing i have used a differnt cable and still same issue i have also used 1 pc on XP 1 laptop on W7 my PC is on W7 and tried all USB slots and all have shown the same error,

Have you check how is the drive showing on disk management? If not, please do that. Instructions on the link below.

When i loaded up Disk Management there is nothing showing for the drive.

just keeps on showing in divice mananger as unknown device  

When i first plug it into the usb slot window pops up as USB device Not Recognized
