Hello there.

My passport creates an unusual sound.

I tried connecting it to my pc but the computer simply don’t recognize it>

My precious files are in it and I’m afraid I might lose them.

Please help me.

Hello,

  • Have you try connecting the drive to another computer?

  • How about a different USB cable?

  • Do you see your drive in your computer Disk Management?

Hello.

I’ve tried connecting it to other PCs and used other USB cables but my efforts seemed futile.

Here’s what I see under Device Manager:

Disk Drives

WD My Passport 0740 USB Device

But still it’s inaccessible.

What to do next?

It does not show up under Disk Management.
