I am trying to copy movies over to my My Book and its keeps saying the file is too large for the destination file system what does that mean i have about 300gbs free on it and i want to put the movies from my computer onto it so i can watch them on my wd tv live hub HELP!
If the drive is formatted FAT32 4 gig is the max file size it will handle.

is there anyway to change the format so it will alow more?
It will depend on how you are conecting and using it. Fat32 if needed sharing between Windows and Mac. It’s also needed if you are connecting to other things like Playstation, and that has a max partition size. I think there is another format for Windows and software for the Mac that will get around 4 gig limit.
