I bought this external hard drive from a local store dated back in june 2015, i was just wondering why my external can be recognize in the system but doesn’t show the drive itself from computer where to store and get datas/files. I tried to view the “Disk Management” and it says that “Disk 1, Unknown, Not Initialized”. I wanted to recover files from here since there are tons of videos that i wanted to retrieve, is there any possible way to fix this?

Based on the information you have provided, I believe the partition on the drive is corrupted. You may try to recover the data using a data recovery software.
You might try using another usb cable. Otherwise, Hamlet is most likely correct.
