WD Drive Unlock - Auto Unlock not unlocking!

Hi All,

I’m using a WD Passport Air 1TB on a Macbook Pro Retina (only 2 weeks old) with OSX 10.9.2 Mavericks.

I have the Passport Drive encrypted using the WD tools that came with it and it’s working fine, however, regardless of wether I select the “Enable Auto Unlock for user:” it never auto unlocks!

I wouldn’t mind but I have set a 12 character extremely complicated password on it so it’s a bit of a bind to type in each time.

Has anybody else had this issue with their drive?

Quick Update…  I did it!

It turns out if you run the “WD Security” application rather than the “WD Unlock Drive” that comes on the drive once encrypted, remove the Auto Unlock option then put it back on again it sorts out the problem :o)

Hopefully this helps out someone else!
