My external had drive is not seen by my computer but shows the light and spins.I need a solution to recover my data stored in it without loosing any. Thanks
I am having the same issue… also when I connect my passport i hear my pc sound like its connected but do not see it listed so i can access my data.
Before going for data recovery, make sure to try the following steps:
WD external drive is not assigned a drive letter by Windows or Mac OSX and data on the drive is inaccessible
hi I am same problem with my 500 gb element drive
it will be displayed in disk management and device manager but its volumes/partition not displayed in my computer explorer, when I force to change the option from disk mngmnt it displayed a msg like access denied or media is write protected and it will not be accessible.
there is lot of data store in it.
