Unable to write to the last block of the device

Hi I’m trying to format a WD My passport Ultra (Silver) hard drive from NTFS to mac basic format.

But I’m receiving the error - “Unable to write to the last block of the device”

  1. I have tried using a different hard drive connector but getting the same error

  2. I have tried to format this as exfat on a Windows 7 PC but there also its giving an error

  3. I downloaded WD utility for mac and tried formatting it through that but receiving an error there too.

  4. I tried to format from mac recovery mode but received an error there too

Is there any other way to get this running back again?

Oh and I ran the first aid too.
