Unable to create bootable USB flash drive to Secure Erase SDSSDP-128G

Windows 11.

SanDisk Dashboard v5.0.2.3 > My Devices > SDSSDP-128G SSD > Tools > Erase Drive ‘Create USB Drive’

I have selected two different USB flash drives that I know work fine but a few seconds after Dashboard formats the USB flash drives, I get ‘Operation Failed’.

Can anyone please assist?

@kingmustard what type of USB flash drives are you using? Do they appear in Windows as USB Device or SCSI Disk Device?

EXAMPLE
image

They are both standard USB flash drives.

SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive 128 GB USB 3.0 (SDDD2-128G-G46)
SanDisk Extreme 16 GB USB 3.0 (SDCZ80-016G-X46)

If they show up in Windows as SCSI Disk Device then they are not bootable drives.
If they show up as USB Device then they should be bootable.

Have you opened a Support Case?
If not, contact SanDisk Technical Support for assistance.
(Contact Support | SanDisk)

They both show as USB devices in Device Manager.

I have not started a Support Case. I came here first, in case anyone else had a similar problem and had found a solution.

I will open a Case now.
