Ultra and Ultra II SDHC cards

I’m struggling to find Ultra II 8GB SD cards here in the UK, the only ones I can find now just say Ultra on the lable.

The speeds look the same, can anyone please tell me if the cards are the same is the Ultra a replacement?

functionally and spec wise they are the same. marketing just change the name and label. the internal technology used is different however.

Hi.  I went onto buy.com and bought the Ultra II Card.  I received it today and the card just said Ultra.  This is there isresponse when I told them they sent me the wrong card:

It is the same. You received the correct item. A lot of other customers have been asking the same thing.

“Ultra” is the new version of “Ultra II”. Sandisk is dropping the “II”.

“ULTRA” is the newest version.

Is this correct?
