Two Internal WD hard drives and WD Smartware

Hello.

I have got 2 internal WD hard drvies (250gb each). One hard drive is “main” drive which i use, and the second was a backup drive.

It was possible because there was wd smartware software on them.

Now, i have formatted both drives, and I have no idea how to make them as they were.

I don’t want to get back my old data. I want to make backup “all the time” of my new system, new data etc.

I have got on one hard drive windows XP with drivers and the second hard drive is totally clean. What should I install on the first drive (with winXP) to make the second disc a backup drive? Can I install it from pendrive ? I was looking for a manual of wd smartware, but I haven’t found any, that would help me (all manuals are for external drives).

I tried this one:

http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5419/~/wd-ses-driver-download-and-instructions-for-recovering-the-wd-smartware

I downloaded it on hard drive with windows XP. I tried to run _ WD Smartware.exe but there was an error._

Please, help me ;/

Well…

smartware is not to backup one internal to another . comes with external drives and backs up from the internal to the external.

you can setup the second drive and backup with another software.

there is no manual for smartware but as I stated you can not use Smartware on the setup you have.
