Multiple backup drives?

Hi,

I have three external drives that I want to backup to, so that I always have two off site. Can WD smartware cope with that?

The idea is to plug one in on a Monday & automatically capture all changes from the previous Monday, then plug another one in on a Wednesday & auto capture all changes from the previous Wednesday, then plug another one in on a Friday & auto capture all changes from the previous Friday, i.e. three seperate rolling backups, each one complete up to it’s last connection to the server.

Will that work with WD smartware or does it want the same external backup drive all the time?

Smartware tends not to copy data from external drives. You’ll need a more powerful software.
