SSD Dashboard S.M.A.R.T Test fails (Short and Long)

Hey there,

i bought a SanDisk Ultra II SSD and so far i had minor issues with it but i don’t know if it’s really a matter of the ssd or something else. So i wanted to do the Short and the Long SMART Test through the SSD Dashboard and everytime i start it, it just fails and says: “Der S.M.A.R.T.-Diagnosetest ist fehlgeschlagen. Fehlercorde #7” which is German and means something like “SMART Diagnostic Test failed. Error Code #7”

Why can’t i run the SMART Test? I am using that SSD as my main (and only) Drive, got windows 8.1 installed and updated there.

In the SSD Dashboard under the help tab can you generate a report and post a link so we can review it?

error code 7 seems like it is related to UECC during one of the reads. The SSD should be replaced. Please contact sandisk support to request an RMA
