Slow start of a copy to the Portable SSD

OS: Windows 11
SSD: 1 TB SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD

Sometimes when I make a copy of a file (or a folder) to the Portable SSD, the copy action doesn’t start immediately. It starts about 10 seconds later. Once it starts, the copy process is fast. I turned off anti-virus but it made no difference.

Any insight/help will be appreciated.
