Should my brand new SandDisk micro SD come up as 'Generic Storage Device USB Device'?

Hello, new member here. I have a few SanDisk products and just bought a 512 micro SD card from Amazon Italy. When I formatted it via my USB 3 card reader I noticed that unlike my SanDisk memory sticks it simply comes up as ‘GENERIC STORAGE DEVICE USB DEVICE’ according to my PC. Is this normal?
The card has a serial number in gold on reverse and seems to be nice and fast but shouldn’t it have some ID tags under the Properties button listing it’s origins?
Advice and comments welcome. Thanks in advance.
