Sansa Fuze+ is frozen with volume screen up

My Sansa Fuze+ has had some problems in the past, like the fact that it would sometimes randomly freeze on one note on a song for a really long time, but I could always just wait a bit and turn it off and it would be fine when I rebooted it.  But as of a week ago when I turned it on the volume control image was up, and I couldn’t get it to go away or respond if I did use the volume control, nor could I play any music.  And then half the time it doesn’t turn on anymore when I try to turn it on, and when it charges it occasionally just seems to shut down now and then and never even charges completely - and when I unhook it all I can get 98% of the time is just the frozen screen with the volume control.

Is there any way to fix this?

Especially if the volume (speaker icon) is showing on its own, it sounds like you may have a hardware issue. Check if the two volume buttons are moving freely. Give each one a gentle press, and see if you can feel each button move smoothly.

If there is any abnormality there, the Fuze+ is covered for one year in the US, two years in the EU. For US support, give them a call at 1-866 SanDisk for assistance.

if its the latest version then try Resetting the player by pressing the power button for approx. 20 secs.
