Since my Sansa clip+ seems to have died on me. I got to wondering. I often ran it full volume under the OEM firmware when I had it attached to several iHome speakers. When I was running it with Rockbox I was running it around 30 to 40 Volume, which is almost full volume. I noticed that with Rockbox, it seemed that I could make it louder than the original OEM firmware could. Since it was the sound that finally went bad on it. I’m starting to wonder if it’s possible that I accidentally allowed rockbox to over drive the internal amp and shorten it’s life. Do any of you know if that is possible with Rockbox?
