Hi all. I’ve bought the Sandisk Extreme 32GB USB 3.0 a few weeks ago as reviews of it were very positive. However, by speeds don’t even get close to those claimed on the package and in the reviews. When I copy a 5GB or a 10GB file my speeds won’t even get beyond 28MB/s even while copying from my SSD. I’ve tried plugging it in the front USB 3.0 ports and directly into the motherboard but the speed stay the same. Have I just go a faulty USB or is there something else that could be the problem?
Hello,
in that case you can test the speed of the drive with the Crystal Disk Mark speed tool and post the results to the Sandisk support to check them. If they are indeed very slow then the drive should be defective and needs to be replaced.
you can download the software from the following link

Are you using the drive’s SecureAccess app when writing to the drive?
First of all, thanks for the replies.
I’ve ran CrystalDiskMark and these are the outcomes, I’ve benched with 1GiB file and 8GiB. As IMG tags are apparently disabled I will just post 2 direct links
1GiB benchmark; https://i.gyazo.com/7a286f096d59aa407033049b1edd877e.png

When I try starting Sandisk Secure Access it just stops loading after the following message; “This application only runs on a SanDisk flash drive”. I’m 100% sure this is a legit USB-stick though and not a fake one as I purchased at one of the biggest electronics stores of Europe. Anyway, I doubt if this program can help anyway, as it won’t triple or even quadrupole my writing speeds. I don’t even want to use a program to copy anything, Teracopy or just Windows Explorer is good enough for me.
So if I understand this all correctly I have to e-mail Sandisk support with the benchmark screenshots as to resolve this?

Actually it will slow writing speeds dramatically.
I have to e-mail Sandisk support
