I understand that Product Development and Marketing departments need to ‘justify’ their continued existence and that a significant subset of customers are easily sold on “new, improved products” that are different more in their cosmetic appearance than their technical performance.
Today I find many more offers of the Flair flash drives offered than Cruzer flash drives. Is this a Marketing driven change in availability so claims of “new, improved, flashier” can be used in advertising them, or are there fundamental technical improvements?
