Regarding The New Update

My greatest hope is that SanDisk will embrace the idea of designing
a dedicated accessory dock for the Fuze, perhaps a cool one with
remote, as it looks like the Fuze just might take off.  Perhaps a joint
venture with Griffin or Macally?

Bob,  This works for me with the Fuze:

Just remove the insert.

Sansa Base station

It has a remote which will adjust the base units volume,  Axon,  you might want to exchange and get one of these.

Oops, too late, I bought two of the Griffin docks already…  Why don’t you just turn on the line out volume control again?  :)

I don’t remember reading any complaints about being able to control the volume on the last 25% of the line out.

Regarding the use of the remote on the Sansa dock:

I remember reading either here or on ABI that the Sansa Dock remote works by raising and lowering the volume on the player (the e200 I think).  You may want to check that out.

The person who posted said that they could see the volume go up and down on the player when the dock remote was used.

None of what I am saying, in any way, takes away fromt the great job you’ve done.

The Sansa Dock is very nice, but it was engineered when the e200 reigned supreme.  The dock is a good piece of design, and will be nice with a custom Fuze support, though I will have to fabricate that the old fashioned way.

The Fuze will rest slightly off-center, due to the offest docking connector.

In my post, I was hoping for an updated design.
