Dear Sandisk
I wrote a playlist (attached) file with Notepad , and using the instructions found here:
https://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/224/kw/M3u
and Option 2: Manually creating M3U Playlist
I placed the playlist inside the “music” folder
I copied the mp3 file to “music” folder as well
I disconnected the player
The player rebooted
Using the player I went into the Music folder, then to the Playlist folder and my m3U file was listed. I selected it but it said the list was empty.
The playlist file contained three lines: #EXTM3U, the path/name of the file and one extra blank line, lost in the insert code function of this post
#EXTM3U 1\JadeDragonCup.mp3
I tested the MP3 file and it does play
At a loss to know what to do
Thanks and wait to hear

In your example, maybe try this replacement text:
\Music\Subfolder Name\JadeDragonCup.mp3
Oh dear
This is a very poor response
Please can you advise if you are a Sandisk employee or a volunteer answering technical questions.

Oh Wow. I am not a SanDisk employee. Just an average SanDisk user hoping to help other SanDisk users with problems with their devices.
The response I gave you above cited my two personal favorite solutions to composing playlists for SanDisk players.
-
Try using the shareware software mp3tag to save m3u playlists directly to the player.
-
Try using the batchfile method to create m3u playlists for a collection of subfolders directly on the player.
The most typical reasons these two suggestions will be challenging is if you are using a Mac computer to manage your player.
(It is really challenging to use a Mac text editor to compose a m3u text file due to incompatible line endings.)
