So I have a passport that I usroot to store all of my photos and online scrapbooks. I was in the middle of working on some photos when it suddenly wanted me to reformat the drive. I was hit no so that it didn’t erase all of my photos. Then my computer would not even recognize my hard drive. I got a new y cord so that it had more power hoping that my problem would be solved. It wasn’t. Now I plug my hard drive in and the light comes on and stays on and my computer makas a noise when it is plugged and unplugged. If I click on my computer it says local h driveinstead of my passport. A window also always pops up and says to format my drive in order to use it. I don’t think I want to format it because then everything will be erased. Any help or advie?
