Overfilled Sandisk Cruzer flash drive

I hope someone has advice for me. I filled the flash drive full and now it shows that all my photos are gone. Is there any way to retrieve the photos back? I have done a data recovery. But it looks like all the files are still in the vault. They just don’t show up when I open the application. Help! it was 10 years of photos

Hi @cremaphor
Have you opened a Support Case? If not opened, for more information, please contact the SD Technical Support team for best assistance and troubleshooting:

It is possible that the file system on the flash drive might be damaged, making it difficult to access files and you are not seeing it. But if that’s not the case then, you may need photo recovery software. I would recommend Stellar Photo Recovery software to recover all your photos. Read the full guide here.

I’ve faced a similar issue before, and it’s definitely stressful. It sounds like the files are still there, but the flash drive might be corrupted or the application isn’t reading them properly. Try using EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to scan the drive thoroughly—it’s good for recovering files even when they don’t show up normally. Another option is Recuva, which can help retrieve lost photos. If the photos were stored in an encrypted vault, make sure to use the correct software or decryption tool to access them again.

If your flash drive is full but the photos are missing, start by checking for hidden files in File Explorer. Reinstall or update your data recovery software, If the issue persists, explore other file recovery software.
