If you desire to use MSC, I believe Media Monkey will generate the requisite m3u lists for you.
Regretfully, the M3U playlists generated by MM in MSC mode are not usable as is. MM generates absolute paths instead of relative paths. After I synchronize playlists–always to the root directory–I run a script that strips off the leading "" on every line of every M3U playlist, after which they work fine.
I think absolute paths instead of relative are in the plans for a later release of the Fuze firmware. With that change, absolute paths will work and the MM playlists should work without modification.

Yes, the path issue is on the development list.

You don’t need the disk to charge it…it has nothing to do with charging. ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/apple/smiley.png?v=12)
The Fuze will charge from the USB port, without the need of special drivers.
Plug it in, and have a look at the battery charge icon. If the lightning bolt and rolling battery icon display on the device, it is charging.
The only “drivers” per se, to communicate with the Sansa, are provided via Windows Media Player 10 and later: the MTP drivers. Media Transfer Protocol is a special mode for Digital Rights Media. The Sansa can operate in MTP or MSC mode (Mass Storage Class), where it’s seen as a flash drive.
