Need help with dead SANDISK - Ultra Dual Drive Go 256GB

howdy everyone!! I have a SANDISK - Ultra Dual Drive Go 256GB USB Type-A/USB Type-C that got over heated and died. I have tested it on two PCs and it doesn’t appear. I’m up for the challenge to figure out what component is short. Does anyone know what the common components that short out in these thumb drives.

I am attaching photos of the thumb drive. If anyone can show me the components that I should check first it would help greatly!! Thank you sooo much.
