I own 5 MyBook Studio II Mac 4TB. I have intermittent problems when I use FW800 to daisey chain these drives to my 2010 Mac Pro, OS10,6,7. Can someone suggest a solution?

The power strip is likely to be the source of the issue as the External Hard Disk Drives need an optimal power source in order to allow a desirable performance.

I have 5 MyBook Studio II Mac 4TB - often one or more will not power up unless I disconnect it from a UPS or power strip, plug it into the wall, then replace it on the UPS.
Why? Can this be “fixed”?
