My sansa updater says there is no internet connected

My sansa updater says there is no internet connected. What is up with that? Any ideas

Ususally this means your A/V or Firewall is blocking access to the server.

Having said that though, there’s really no need to use the Updater; you can simply manually update the firmware on your Sansa device. There are instructions for this in all the firmware update posts.

Uninstall the Updater. You don’t need it. All it’s doing is slowing down the bootup of your computer.

You need to know what version your Fuze is–it’s under Settings/System Settings/Info. If it starts with a 1, it’s the v1 hardware. If it starts with a 2, it’s v2. V2 is DIFFERENT from v1, not an upgrade.

And follow the Manual Firmware download and instructions for your version: get 1.02.31 for a v1 unit and 2:03.33 for a v2 unit.

Basically you’re going to download an All Regions firmware, unzip it, drag it onto the Fuze and have it update.

These are the last updates. There won’t be any more because the Fuze is discontinued. So uninstall the Updater, do this once, and return to everything else life has to offer.

Also just to check, can you also verify that you have stable connectivity?

Probably, since he/she was able to register and post here.
